Rammed Earth Residence for Anil & Roja at Karakulam, Trivandrum.

The site is on the bottom of a hill, on the banks of a rivulet at Karakulam, Trivandrum. Absence of a proper vehicular access rather persuaded to choose 'Rammed Earth' as the method as there's no transportation involved. Soil at site was suitable and the natural slope made it easier to plan it in such a way that the house is been part of the hill with the levels inside. Gabion walls serve as the retaining wall with a small drain adjacent to it. The house has two bedrooms, one deck space which can be converted as a bed space for guests, large common areas, an open kitchen, two toilets, balcony etc.
